General Description
The ET9383Y is an inductive high efficient DC-DC step up converter with two current sinks. The DC-DC step up converter operates at a fixed frequency of 2MHz and includes soft startup to allow easy integration into noise sensitive RF systems. The two current sinks can operate in flash /Movie torch light modes. Flash mode is usually used with 700ms timer control to generate a high intensity flash. The Flash mode and Movie/Torch mode LED current is programmed by external resistors respectively, making the flash LED solution simple to control.
The ET9383Y includes flash timeout, overvoltage, over-temperature, under-voltage and LED short and open circuit protection functions. Built-in circuitry prevents excessive inrush current during start-up. The shutdown feature reduces quiescent current to less than 1.0μA.The 2MHz switching frequency allow for the use of tiny, low profile (1uH or 2.2uH) inductors and 10uF ceramic capacitors. The leakage current in shutdown is less than 1μA.
The real LED current at Flash mode and Movie/Torch mode can be programmed by external PWM signal at ENM pin.The ET9383Y is available in Green TDFN-3×2-14L package and operates over an ambient temperature range of -40℃ to +85℃.
